The Learning Curve.

Bon Jovi was enjoying a number one hit song “Livin on a Prayer”,the year was 1987,and Gary Martin Beaver was about to launch his new lifestyle, little did he know that one day he too would end up “livin on a prayer.”
Gary now spent most of his time in his bedroom learning the ropes on his new asset, the computer. This would turn out to be a turning point in his life.He was hooked on the new technology, and was learning fast.
He continued with his dreary old day jobs, but couldn’t wait to rush home at night and fire up his trusty Sinclair zx80.
The new technology of home computing took the world by storm, and the Japanese and Americans manufacturers were soon speedily advancing the frontiers. If you didn’t keep up you quickly became a dinosaur!
Mom grew tired of her son spending all his money on the latest computer equipment,he hadn’t contributed to the household in months, and money continued to disappear from the biscuit tin.She decided to send Gary to southern Ireland where a large part of the family lived.
They were all of,shall we say,the travelling fraternity.Garys relatives in Ireland mainly earned their living selling second hand cars, and not very good quality ones at that. This turned out to be rather a bonus for Gary,as it gave him the golden opportunity to learn what the Irish call the “gift of the gab”.This was to stand him in good stead in later life.Gary quickly learned if you could sell sand to the arabs you would always have some folding money in your back pocket.Ducking and diving became the order of the day! Garys new skills at selling bangers soon afforded him the very latest computer equipment, and life was beginning to look good----.
